Advocates For Abused And Abandoned Pets

We’re a new non-profit charity comprised of animal lovers who believe that pets are valued family members. As a 100% volunteer run charity, all fundraising goes directly to help save pet lives. Until we raise enough funds to purchase the land and facility we need for a safe haven for homeless pets, we will focus our efforts on assisting under-served members of our community care for their pets, collaborating with other rescue groups to share resources and life saving ideas, offering training courses and advice to pet owners, and developing education materials to further strengthen the human-animal bond.

Frankies Furry Friends Rescue

Frankies Furry Friends Rescue is a small group of volunteers and fosters that foster the dogs in their own homes until they are adopted. Their main concern is giving a small breed dog either from a puppy mill or a local shelter a second chance at a life. They offer them a safe place until their forever homes are found. They receive proper food, they learn how to trust people. The foster gives them lots of love and attention, they are microchiped, and all vetting (including spay or neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing, bordetella and heartworm preventative) they need until their forever homes are found. They educate the public about the importance of spaying/neutering the animals, emphasize the importance of adopting a dog, knowing it is a lifetime commitment.

The Emilie Beard Foundation for Felines is dedicated to rescuing, providing sanctuary, insuring good health, and placing cats and kittens into loving and pet-responsible homes. We strive to educate the public about the importance of neuter and spay to help reduce the population of unwanted, homeless, or abandoned cats in our community.

The mission of Chatham Animal Rescue & Education (CARE) is to promote the health and safety of all dogs and cats in Chatham County, NC. CARE foster caregivers provide loving, stable homes to homeless cats and dogs, helping them become the best possible pets for their future forever families. CARE works with the Chatham County Animal Shelter to save the lives of unwanted cats and dogs, manages feral cat colonies, and serves as an educational resource. CARE’s Lillie's Fund is a targeted spay/neuter program, subsidizing sterilization surgeries for pets owned by lower income families in Chatham County. CARE is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that has served the community since 1975 and relies on individual and corporate donors for support.
