Birds of a Feather RescueMission StatementBirds of a Feather Rescue was formed for the purpose of protecting and rehabilitating unwanted, mistreated, or abused exotic birds. People buy these birds for their beauty and don’t bother to take the time to learn about the birds. We have seen many come through here with different behavior problems due to the treatment they have received. I have a 68 year old Blue Fronted Amazon that was literally beaten by the man that owned the bird before giving him to a woman that brought him here. He is currently being rehabilitated and will hopefully learn to trust men again. I have macaws that have plucked themselves so bad that they will never grow feathers again due the damaged done to the feather follicle. We also have birds here that were just n
PawsCo is a 100 percent volunteer-run 501(c)3 animal welfare organization in Denver. PawsCo is dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation with a comprehensive approach, which includes three divisions: Spay/Neuter, Pet Food Drive, and Adoptions. In 2016, PawsCo performed 547 spay/neuter operations, collected and distributed more than 38,000 pounds of pet food within the community, and helped more than 250 animals find adoptive homes.
Our mission at Misfit Toys Rescue Division is to heal the hearts of humans and horses alike, by taking both out of negative situations, and putting them together to grow in love and confidence. Each rescued horse is taught to become a member of our free lesson program for disadvantaged riders who would not have access to horses otherwise. It is our firm belief that each horse will be a perfect match for a rider, and he can stay here in our program until his forever home is found. We do not mass rescue and we invest time, money, and a lot of love into the rehabilitation of each horse. In turn, the horses return the favor for our lesson students. They grow together to learn confidence, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment. We enjoy our work and are enjoying changing lives.
LBFS is a nonprofit vegan sanctuary in Virginia. At LBFS, we give animals a safe & loving forever home. We rescue primarily farm animals from horses to goats to donkeys to cows who would otherwise have a terrible fate or who have special needs. We give them the life all animals so deserve. Through our social channels & in-person farm tours, we show people that farm animals have fun, loving, & sweet personalities just like our domesticated pets. Farm animals have strong family bonds & friendships with each other as well as the humans in their lives. The animals at LBFS show those that have the pleasure of meeting them virtually and in person that there is no difference between domestic & farm animals. We strive everyday to inspire people to love all animals & live more compassionately.
Liberty Humane Society's mission is to foster a community of compassion and respect, and provide animals in need with a chance at a lifelong, loving home.

To educate the public on the options for low cost spay and neuter, and food assistance for their pet. We do what we can to ensure the community has the resources to keep their pets instead of turning them over to county shelters to possibly lose their life. We also pull animals from shelters, bad situations, and the ones abandoned on our door step, get the vetted, and find them homes.
Our organization is named after the beloved racehorse, Ferdinand. Despite winning prestigious races such as the Kentucky Derby and Breeders Cup Classic and being named the Horse of the Year in 1987, Ferdinand met his fate at a Japanese slaughterhouse after a lackluster career as a stud. In response to this tragedy, it brought forward renewed interest in Thoroughbred aftercare to prevent other ex-racehorses from joining Ferdinand in the slaughter pipeline.
