IN SUPPORTING THESE CURRICULA, VA CIVICS PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEACHERS, TEACHING RESOURCES, CLASSROOM SUPPORT, AND RUNS THE ANNUAL REGIONAL AND STATE WE THE PEOPLE COMPETITIONS.

The Fund for American Studies has been educating young leaders on the values of freedom, democracy and free-market economies since 1967. Eleven institutes around the world bring college students together for educational programs engaging them in a rigorous examination of economic concepts, political systems, and moral philosophy. The mission of The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory is to provide professional-level training, education, and performance experience in classical ballet and other dance forms for young students dedicated to the art of dance. The ultimate goal of the organization is to inspire, develop, and sustain a lasting appreciation of dance both for the artists in training as well as for our audience members of all ages.The Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory, a 501(c) non-profit organization, serves students, families, and audiences from western and central Connecticut while providing training for students from both the United States and abroad.The Nutmeg has been an important part of the Torrington, Connecticut community for almost 50 years since its founding in 1969, not only as a source of classical and contemporary dance training for thousands of young people, but also by providing cultural and artistic resources to the local community in the form of performances, demonstrations, and special events.

Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance brings innovative dance to the community of Asheville as well as the state of North Carolina through concert performances; collaborations with local and nationally known artists and arts organizations; and both outreach and dance training programs for children of all cultural and economic backgrounds designed to delight, enlighten, and educate.
