Nearly three quarters of the earth is covered by ocean, and changes to the marine environment have a direct effect on the planet, the environment, and ultimately, our lives. Yet mankind continues to dump, pollute, overfish, and in a variety of other ways, contribute to the demise of the ocean and the lives of its inhabitants. The Center for Oceanic Awareness, Research, and Education seeks to enlighten people, young and old, to the plight of the oceans, to change the way they think and act, and to encourage them to create positive and lasting change.

By raising public awareness, advancing science-based solutions and mobilizing decision-makers around ocean conservation, we are leading voices for a healthy ocean. SeaWeb was founded to address the lack of public engagement on ocean issues, and works to reverse this trend by enabling key decision-makers to better understand the complexities of important marine environmental problems. In addition, our social marketing techniques enable the marine conservation community to effectively communicate sound solutions to these problems - another vital aspect of our unique approach to solving critical conservation questions.

Reef Relief is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to improving and protecting our coral reef ecosystem. We focus on rigorous science to educate the public & advocate policymakers to achieve conservation, protection, and restoration of coral reefs.

Vision We see a cold, clear and clean river, and a watershed, where an informed citizenry ensures that healthy ecological, economic, and social systems coexist in perpetuity. Mission "Working with the community to protect the natural resources and scenic beauty of the Kinnickinnic River watershed."

THE DAN RIVER BASIN ASSOCIATION PRESERVES AND PROMOTES THE NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES OF THE DAN RIVER BASIN THROUGH STEWARDSHIP, RECREATION, AND EDUCATION.

The Buzzards Bay Coalition is a membership-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration, protection, and sustainable use and enjoyment of our irreplaceable Bay and its watershed. The Coalition works to improve the health of the Bay ecosystem for all through education, conservation, research and advocacy.

THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ABATE AND PREVENT POLLUTION OF THE NIANTIC RIVER BY: OPERATING A PUMPOUT BOAT; ADVOCATING THE PRESERVATION OF THE OSWEGATCHIE HILLS; ADVOCATING SEWERS FOR EAST LYME WATERFRONT NEIGHBORHOODS; ENCOURAGING THE TOWNS OF WATERFORD AND EAST LYME TO FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE FEDERAL PHASE II STORM WATER PROTECTION ACT.

LAND CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT

Manada Conservancy is a land trust dedicated to preserving the natural, historic, agricultural, and scenic resources of Dauphin County through land conservation, environmental education, and community engagement.

We clean water for kids. We believe that every child deserves to have clean water, clean hands, clean toilets, and access to menstrual health support. Through partnerships with governments and other local leaders, we will demonstrate a replicable model for cost-effective citywide water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions that can improve the lives of millions. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Yet, there are still millions of children lacking access to clean water, reliable infrastructure, and essential knowledge about their wellbeing. As long as this need persists, Splash remains steadfast in fulfilling its vital role.

Downeast Lakes Land Trust is based in Grand Lake Stream, Maine. We protect lakeshores, improve fish and wildlife habitats, provide public recreation opportunities, offer educational programs, and support jobs in the forest and on the water. We are dedicated to the Downeast economy and environment.

Steep Rock Association is a nationally accredited land trust whose mission is to conserve ecologically and historically significant landscapes and riparian corridors in and around Washington, CT, and to enhance the community’s connection to nature through outreach, education, and passive recreation. Steep Rock Association envisions a Washington, CT where conserved lands, healthy ecosystems, and a biologically rich natural world thrive in harmony with a vibrant, engaged, diverse, and supportive community that is ecologically, culturally, and economically sustainable.
