The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) offers programs to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities. We foster the daily practice of human values - a sense of connectedness and respect for all people and the natural environment, an attitude of non-violence, and an ethic of social service. Our programs enhance clarity of mind, shift attitudes and behaviours, and develop leaders and communities that are resilient, responsible, and inspired.
Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in 13 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and raises funds for numerous long-term programs. These funds are used to support our local partners with the aims of alleviating poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change. We do this through education, nutrition, conservation and capacity building. Our work focuses upon 3 key objectives: awareness, impact and empowerment. The aim is to create awareness of global issues, have a direct impact on those issues locally and empower our alumni, be they volunteers, donors, staff or community members, to continue impacting local issues on a global level.
Corals for Conservation (C4C) addresses poverty-driven coral reef decline by developing sustainable, community-appropriate enterprises designed to shift the burden away from over-used and depleted fisheries resources. C4C promotes "coral gardeners" as new profession for resorts, providing employment and added value to the industry while contributing to coral reef conservation and restoration. We recognize that if people and industry are major parts of the problem then they are also major parts of the solution.
Mission: We are a charitable organisation working to kickstart the lives of vulnerable children in Kenya through locally-led sustainable development. Key Principles: Kickstart Kids International is an entirely volunteer run, not for profit, non-government development organisation. In everything that we do, our primary goal is empowerment - to provide support to local communities that will help them to help themselves. We achieve this in three ways: Best practice quality of care for orphaned and disadvantaged children - partnering with globally recognised leaders who share our passion for providing children with the best possible Kickstart in life. Financial sustainability - utilising a profit for purpose model, we provide local communities with income streams to fund the operations of social projects. Environmental sustainability - accessing technologies and approaches that ensure sustainable consumption of food, energy and water.
