Saiva Siddhantha Ashram

Offering Pujas to murtis of Ganesha, Muruga and Shiva, the temple was founded on the traditions of Saiva Siddhanta and known as the Palaniswami Sivan Temple. It quickly became a popular site for the ever growing populace of newly arriving Hindus, some of whom personally knew of the Sage from Sri Lanka, YogaSwami, who initiated the American Guru. grow over the years, and on traditional festival days, the small temple could hardly accomodate the crowd of devotees. In 1988, to better facilitate the Hindu community, the temple was moved to a larger site in Concord, CA. The site was chosen due to availability and the fact that it had always been a place of worship.

Harvest Community Church of Woonsocket

Over the years Sanctuary has developed into a men-only winter emergency shelter that opens each and every evening from November to the end of March - the year's coldest months. Sanctuary can accommodate up to 28 men and provides an evening meal, laundry and mail services, a minimum of two hot showers per week, winter clothing and outerwear (as available) and personal care/hygiene products. Sanctuary welcomes all men regardless of race, religion, ethnicity or prior legal history. Funding for Sanctuary is provided through various sources including state and federal grants and private donations from our many friends and community partners who share our commitment to treat every person with respect and dignity. If you or your group would like to partner with us in this important endeavor please contact us. Cool Shul

Founded in 2015, Cool Shul bring Judaism both to those who have been committed to Jewish communities for years as well as to those who are nervous about putting one toe in the "Jewish water." We provide Jewish universalist education, services, and life-cycle events, embracing the traditions of Judaism while focusing on the universal themes that run throughout all of Jewish practice.
