IRAM manages the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary and owns 11,000 acres of private land dedicated to range preservation and a balanced ecosystem located in the Southern Black Hills. The principle mission was to save this sacred land with Native American and Early Pioneer history from development, preserve the natural habitat of the ingenious wildlife on the land and provide a home for unwanted American Mustangs.
Rescue Angels of Southern Maryland, Inc. is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, whose mission is to change the lives of animals in need by rescuing them from undesirable situations, providing loving homes, and medical care (including mandatory spay and neuter)
One Dog at a Time ODAAT is a 501(3)(c) organization dedicated to legally assisting animals in need by working in tandem and cooperatively with Dog Wardens, Humane Officers, Local Police, and the State Police; building relationships and solutions with all. ODAAT realizes the problems of neglected and abused animals in Pennsylvania do not have immediate solutions and until state cruelty laws are amended or changed, this group of volunteers will work within the constraints of the Pennsylvania legal system. ODAAT is working with individuals and agencies that are able to enforce Pennsylvania Humane Laws and will assist where and when possible – with resources and training so desperately needed.
Eaton County Humane Society is guided by a humane ethic to build a community that universally values animals, understands their needs, and takes action to meet those needs. ECHS will be a regional leader in working toward:• Elimination of animal overpopulation and the euthanasia of adoptable animals. • Providing quality, temporary care to homeless animals then placing them in permanent, loving homes. • Educating the community on humane treatment and responsible guardianship of companion animals.
The mission of the Menominee Animal Shelter is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, the sheltering and placement of animals, and the promotion of humane education. MAS will provide humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection in Marinette and Menominee Counties and the surrounding area; seek the return of lost animals to their owners; find suitable, loving and forever homes for animals without owners; provide humane euthanasia when necessary; encourage and facilitate the prevention of the birth of unwanted animals; provide education to the general public regarding the proper care and treatment of animals; and prevent cruelty to all animals.
(a) To provide a temporary refuge for stray, homeless and deserted animals and to place such animals in good homes wherever practical. (b) To receive and care for suffering animals. (c) To end the suffering, in a humane manner, of any animal which it is impractical to cure of its infirmities and in a humane manner dispose of any stray, homeless or deserted animals for which it is impractical to find a proper home. HEARTT Animal Refuge is a 100% volunteer, No-Kill animal refuge and adoption center. They rescue abandoned and abused cats and dogs, provide them with a home and good medical care until they are adopted. They are strong supporters of neuter/spay.
Our mission is to save and protect homeless animals through responsible adoptions, to provide humane care for all animals entrusted to us, to advocate for animal welfare, and to enhance the human-animal bond by promoting healthy relationships between pets and people in our community.
