After more than four decades of service, Animal Samaritans has grown to become the desert’s largest, most-comprehensive animal welfare organization by adopting out more than 15,000 homeless dogs and cats, rescuing more than 14,000 adoptable, at-risk shelter animals, and spaying and neutering more than 200,000 pets. We’ve educated more than 250,000 school children on kindness to animals and responsible pet ownership, and made tens of thousands of pet therapy visits to people in need. FoKCA pays for medical treatment of ownerless dogs, cats and the like that would otherwise receive no attention, helps pay for medical services for pets experiencing life-threatening illness or injury when owners cannot afford upfront fees for emergency care, and secures rescue for shelter animals.

Last Chance Animal Rescue operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. We take in cats and dogs from more than 50 high-kill shelters in 12 states and provide disaster-relief services for pets. We partner with more than 30 PetSmart and Petco stores in the region and provide full service in-store cat adoptions. We promote and provide low cost, high quality spay/neuter of companion animals and provide educational material to retain these animals in the home.
