Signature Theatre Company

Signature Theatre Company exists to honor and celebrate the playwright. Founded in 1991 by James Houghton, Signature makes an extended commitment to a playwright’s body of work, and during this journey, the writer is engaged in every aspect of the creative process. Signature is the first theatre company to devote an entire season to the work of a single playwright, including re-examinations of past writings as well as New York and world premieres. By championing in-depth explorations of a living playwright’s body of work, the Company delivers an intimate and immersive journey into the playwright’s singular vision.

Project Rhythm

Bach With Verse

Founded in 2004, Bach With Verse brings hope, inspiration and laughter through music and stories to war-torn and remote areas, and prison populations. To fulfill this mission, BWV presents double bassist Richard “Dobbs” Hartshorne in outreach concerts for all ages in schools, orphanages, prisons, refugee camps, rehabilitation and community centers throughout the world. Performances are crafted with a unique blend of classical music and humorous musical stories that are easily accessible to diverse audiences. BWV programs have reached West Bank Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Africa, Bolivia, Uganda and prisons throughout the United States.

Stage the Change

Founded in 2012, Stage the Change, Inc. was created to teach and enable students of the arts to use their "arts voices" to create the world that they would like to live in •To help students become global citizens through creativity and performance and learn to approach social justice issues which are important to them through theatre, dance and film.
