Fern Hollow Nature Center

Fern Hollow Nature Center (FHNC), founded in 1997, provides the community with unique learning opportunities and is the voice for environmental education for the Quaker Valley area. With over 8,000 visitors each year, Fern Hollow has something for everyone to get them outside to explore, learn and discover. Educational programs are held on the grounds, in the area parks and often in the region's vast creek system. We offer family events, adult programs, nature walks, community events, summer camps, and most importantly, unique educational programming for local schools. Fern Hollow also offers a self-guided nature walk, a native tree walk and the first certified Natural Outdoor Classroom in Pennsylvania.

BURNABY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

Arroyo Seco Foundation

The Arroyo Seco Foundation is a non-profit education and action organization. Our goal is to preserve and enhance the Arroyo Seco watershed from the San Gabriel Mountains to the Los Angeles River, to reforest our region and to promote environmental awareness. The Arroyo Seco is a major tributary of the Los Angeles River in Los Angeles County and includes the communities of northeast Los Angeles, South Pasadena, Pasadena, Altadena, La Cañada Flintridge and portions of the Angeles National Forest.

THE DONKEY SANCTUARY OF CANADA

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada provides a lifelong home to donkeys and mules that have been neglected or abused, or that can no longer be cared for by their owners. The DSC provides a program in animal welfare education to school and community groups. In addition, the DSC has developed a Foster Farm Program wherein animals are placed in pairs on permanent loan at suitable farms. The Sanctuary Farm is open to the public on Wednesdays and Sundays, 10-4, May through October.
