The mission of Mental Health Advocacy Services is to protect and advance the legal rights of children and adults with mental disabilities, in order to maximize autonomy, promote equality, and secure the resources needed to thrive in the community. MHAS accomplishes its mission by providing free legal services with an emphasis on obtaining benefits and services, protecting rights and fighting discrimination.

Founded in 2002, the RDS Foundation and Sutherland Bipolar Center is dedicated to improving the lives of people and their families impacted by bipolar disorder. We have helped over 1600 people for more than 15 years-- people who would not have been able to get the treatment that they need elsewhere because of financial difficulties. Our clients pay little to no money for services (typically $0-20/session), and we don't take insurance. Because of this, our Center runs mostly on grants and donations. We offer a comprehensive initial diagnosis, psychotherapy (e.g. individual, family and/or group) and psychoeducation (an 8-week Seminar that covers 12 hours of information not available anywhere). In collaboration with the University of Colorado in Boulder, the clinic is housed at the Muenzinger building in the Psychology Department. Our clinic is staffed by a licensed clinical psychologist who also mentors and directs highly qualified doctoral Psychology graduate students from the University. Sankofa African Cultural Centers aims to educate people of African Descent about Historical African Culture throughout the diaspora, although that is our primary function we also welcome all cultures and individuals who want to embrace, engage, learn, and add value to our mission.

Our mission is to promote awareness and education for perinatal mood disorders and importance of self-care to new moms, families, healthcare professionals and the community.

We acknowledge that social inequality and injustice exacerbate drug-related harm. By engaging in outreach, education, and advocacy, we aim to transform our community's culture and challenge perceptions surrounding those grappling with substance use disorders. Our efforts focus on reducing the transmission of infectious diseases by offering free in-house testing, facilitating seamless transitions to treatment, promoting safer drug use practices, and connecting individuals and communities with recovery resources. Access Point of Georgia, Inc. wholeheartedly supports diverse recovery pathways by providing harm reduction services and recovery resources to people who use drugs and other key populations in Northeast Georgia.

Hospice of the Piedmont is an organized, not for profit program that, upon informed choice, provides palliative care, health care, and supportive services to patients, their families, and significant others in both home and facility-based settings. Physical, social, spiritual, and emotional care is provided during the last stages of illness, during the dying process, and during bereavement by a medically directed interdisciplinary team. Hospice of the Piedmont serves patients from four North Carolina counties: Guilford, Forsyth, Randolph and Davidson.

To change the way the world views Down syndrome and to promote acceptance for all. GiGi's Playhouse does this through national campaigns, free educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

PEI Kids’ mission is to promote and maintain a safe environment for all children. PEI Kids works with the child, family and caregiver to provide prevention, intervention and advocacy programs relating to personal safety, sexual abuse and the overall well-being of the child.
