Too many of these youth are rejected by their families and the broader community and are thus forced to survive on the streets, facing the dangers of violence, HIV infection, and homophobia. Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people, the organization's mission is to protect them from the harms of homelessnessJuly-15- and empower them with the tools needed to live independently through services that can help them thrive.

Not only does The Gathering Inn exist to fulfill the original mission and vision of our founders, but it also builds on that foundation by expanding services that address barriers to housing.
