The mission of New Hope Village 4 Veterans is to assist and provide opportunities for Homeless and Disable Veteran families toward gaining stability in their lives by offering transitional or permanent apartments and social services. Our skilled mostly military professionals come equipped with love and compassion, which they believe is a minimal reward in exchange for the services our men and women gave already to our country. The mission of Veterans Moving Forward (VMF) is to provide service dogs, facility dogs and Emotional Support dogs to American veterans with physical and mental health challenges at no cost to the veteran or their family.. Through these services, VMF strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our disabled veterans by facilitating their recovery and increasing their safety and independence within their homes and communities. VMF provides canine support to address both visible and invisible wounds, ranging from adjusting to loss of limbs to post-traumatic stress. These disabilities may have been acquired either during military service to our country, or through an accident or illness incurred in private life following that service.
New England Paralyzed Veterans of America is a chapter of paralyzed veterans of america, a not-for-profit organization. The chapter, in conjunction with the national organization, provides benefits to persons who have suffered injuries or diseases of he spinal cord by monitoring the delivery of health care promoting medical research, educating society on the attitudinal, physical, and legal barriers.
NEADS World Class Service Dogs was founded in 1976 to train and place assistance dogs to help people who have disabilities and children who have autism. NEADS has trained over 1,800 Assistance Dog partners (person and dog) now living and working together across the USA, including assistance dogs to help veterans of our wars with physical disabilities and with PTSD. NEADS is the oldest continuing Hearing Dog program in the country and the first program on the East Coast to train a Service Dog.
