Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County, Inc. (VHS) has been helping Hudson County families with their home care needs since 1959. Due to the ever increasing demand to stop and prevent child abuse, VHS is going Beyond Home Care by focusing on the expansion of the Family Services Department. VHS offers a comprehensive set of home care services and we are proud to say our professional staff has an average of fifteen years’ experience with our agency.We strive to improve the human condition by making sure that every life we touch maintains the dignity, belonging, and independence we all deserve. Woodstock Area Meals on Wheels prepares and delivers hot, wholesome meals every day to the homes of the elderly, shut-ins, handicapped and convalescents within the area of Woodstock. This service is available to those who are physically unable to prepare a daily hot meal for themselves. Meals on Wheels can accommodate those with special dietary needs, including vegetarians, diabetics, and individuals with food allergies. If additional meals are needed on the weekend, they can be delivered on Friday.
In collaboration with patients, families, and other community providers, Addison County Home Health & Hospice, a nonprofit agency, enhances the health, dignity, and independence of Addison County residents through comprehensive, patient-centered home health and hospice care.
Wheels of Success helps keep working people working so that they are able to support themselves and provide for their families. Throughout ten years of community support, Wheels of Success has provided over 1000 transportation related services, including over 500 vehicles to Tampa Bay area families. Our goal is to raise funds to get more families on the road by providing vehicles to applicants who have been “waiting for wheels” and to help others by paying for needed repairs to vehicles they already own.

India Home Inc. is a not-for-profit organization in New York started in 2007 by healthcare providers who personally and professionally witnessed the social, psychological and medical problems of seniors. India Home is committed to providing services for seniors in culturally sensitive environment by collaborating with other not for profit organizations, individuals, health care professionals, and government organizations. Our goal is to provide quality care by adding life to the years in a constantly collaboratively environment. After seven years of providing senior center services in a culturally and linguistically appropriate environment once a week in different parts of Queens through collaborations, we opened the Desi Senior Center one year ago in Jamaica providing three days a week senior center services. As a result of this expansion, we currently serve over 150 individual seniors every week and provided over 20,000 congregate meals to South Asian seniors in just the past one year!
