In empowering families to achieve greater self-sufficiency, Genesis Shelter recognizes individual family needs and provides the resources to meet those needs.

AHC is a private, non-profit housing developer of affordable housing. Our mission is to improve the quality of community life by expanding housing opportunities for low- moderate-income people, and assist our residents in their goals for economic self-sufficiency. We provide affordable rental housing; promote homeownership; coordinate and provide social services to children and families.

Homeless Children's Network

HCN's Mission is to decrease the trauma of homelessness and domestic violence,as well as to increase the strength and effectiveness of the HCN Collaborative. Homeless children and families are referred by HCN's collaborative of nineteen Emergency, Transitional, and Domestic Violence Shelters. Member shelters include: Hamilton Family Center, Hamilton Emergency Shelter, Hamilton Transitional Program, Asian Women's Shelter, Raphael House, Riley Center (Rosalie House and Brennan House), Richmond Hills Family Center, Tenderloin Childcare Center, St. Joseph's Village, Richmond Hills Family Center, Salvation Army-Harbor House, La Casa de las Madres, Homeless Prenatal Program, Connecting Point, DrawBridge, A Home Away From Homelessness, Families in SRO's Collaborative, Treasure Island Homeless Development Initiative (TIHDI) and Treasure Island Elementary School.

New York City Rescue Mission

Providing help and hope to the hungry, homeless and hurting men and women of New York City. The New York City Rescue Mission has been caring for the needs of the poor and the homeless of our great city for over 142 years. As the city has grown over those years, so has the homeless population. We remain committed as ever to helping to be a part of the solution for this segment of the population. The New York City Rescue Mission is supported by caring individuals, foundations and businesses. Less than two percent of the Mission’s revenue comes from government funding. Over the past 18 months, the Mission has taken on its biggest project and has added three more floors to help even more people in our community, including women for the first time in its 142 year history.  

My Friend's Place

The mission of My Friend's Place (MFP) is to assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives.

Low Income Investment Fund

The Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) is dedicated to creating pathways of opportunity for low income people and communities. Serving the poorest of the poor, LIIF is a steward for capital invested in housing, child care, education and other community-building initiatives. In so doing, LIIF provides a bridge between private capital markets and low income neighborhoods.
