The Coastside Women's Club is a small 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to help underserved youth and families in the cities of Half Moon Bay, El Granada, and Montara. We provide scholarships for Half Moon Bay High School graduates and funds to support after-school reading programs. We also sponsor low-income student participation in school book fairs and provide student backpacks and school supplies. We have no paid staff! We are all volunteers. Every fundraising dollar goes to support our charities and scholarships.

Rosie’s Place was founded in 1974 as the first women’s shelter in the United States. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to help poor and homeless women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Today, Rosie’s Place not only provides meals and shelter but also creates answers for 12,000 women a year through wide-ranging support, housing and education services. Rosie’s Place relies solely on the generous support of individuals, foundations and corporations and does not accept any city, state or federal funding.

The mission of One Heart Uganda is to change lives through education, and in the process create a special bond between people in the U.S. and in Uganda. With so much need and so many deserving programs, it’s difficult to know how to really make an impact. One Heart Uganda is founded on the idea of “one-to-one” support, where individual and family sponsors make a significant difference in one student’s life. Through tuition support, bright students with great potential are able to attend higher quality elementary and secondary schools. Given these opportunities, the goal is for students to test and receive government funding for university education. Armed with a quality education, doors open and lives change.
